Lotus House
Bytes for Better Lives helps bridge the digital divide at the Lotus House through our digital safety and financial literacy presentation. We taught women in need how to navigate the digital world safely and provided information on financial literacy. We held a board game raffle and provided snacks to make it a truly memorable experience.
Digital Safety
We held digital safety lectures for senior citizens, teaching them how to prevent scams and stay safe while navigating the digital world. We held these lectures at the 5 Star Premier Residencies and the Palace at Weston.
Personalized Tech Assitance
Bytes for Better Lives helps bridge the digital divide at Palomino Gardens by offering patient, one-on-one tech support for senior residents. Our volunteers assist with phones, iPads, and laptops, everything from setting up email and video calls to organizing photos, adjusting accessibility settings, and spotting online scams.
Board Game Donations
- His House Children's Home
In July 2025, we donated over 70 board games to His House Children’s Home. Our goal was to give the children fun and screen-free activities that encourage social connection and joy.
Board Game Drive - Joe DiMaggio's Children Hosptial
We organized a few Board Game Drives and amassed over 200 board and card games, which we donated to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Our mission was to provide kids with engaging activities that bring comfort, distraction, and a feeling of joy during their hospital stay.
Friendly Feud Trivia Nights
We have hosted two Trivia Nights at American Heritage School and raised over $2,500. The event brought over 120 students together to compete in teams and spectate, combining endless fun and laughter with education, while also supporting a meaningful cause.

Tech Workshops
We held a series of lectures and workshops on topics like game development and how to create your own game, reaching an audience of over 50 people. These events aimed to inspire creativity, teach valuable skills, and make game design more accessible to everyone.
Our Support in Haiti
We donated a portion of the games we collected to the non-profit House of New Vision and Hope. This non-profit works towards improving the lives of disadvantaged children in rural regions in Haiti. The games we donated were chess, checkers, and card games, which don't require English proficiency to learn, making it easier for children to enjoy!
